IPL T20 app available NOW!

DCI Mobile Studios brings to you the IPL T20 app. The company has been on a deal signing spree in the past year, joining hands with global music giant Sony Music for its regional music content, Galatta Media for its Internet content and Galatta Cinema Magazine and Ojas Foundation for its spiritual audio content.

And now, it has become part of the IPL. DCI will broadcast 60 matches over 45 days live in the 2010 IPL season through dedicated mobile applications. Talking about this deal, DCI Chief Technology Officer Mr. R. Vijayakumar said this is probably the first major mobile application to be developed across the globe targeting cricket fans from the UK, Australia, South Africa, India, Pakistan, New Zealand, Canada, Sri Lanka, the United States, Singapore, the Middle East and all other countries where cricket is popular.

DCI plans to launch apps for Android phones and is in preliminary discussions with Nokia to explore an application for the OVI Store. Mr. C.R. Venkatesh, Chief Executive Office, DCI said that this is just the beginning of multiple deals.

Girish Ramdas, DCI’s President said that the company is thrilled to have IPL as their global partner. This would enable them to bring to the mobile community around the world and here in India an interactive, unique experience building greater awareness around the world for cricket. He also said that with more than 2 billion global viewers of the IPL in 2009, this is also an unique platform for advertisers to reach a global audience.
